Dealing with Agitation & Other Difficult Behaviors

Join Albany Medical Center in collaboration with Columbia University Behavioral Health, for their upcoming live webinar that will discuss dealing with agitation and other difficult behaviors with James Satriano, PhD. This program will be of interest to case managers, social workers, mental health practitioners, and other mental health counselors. Other disciplines are welcome to attend. Learning objectives include:

  • Discussing which psychiatric diagnoses are more commonly associated with agitation and aggression

  • Listing some common characteristics of agitated and aggressive people

  • Describing some strategies to attempt to de-escalate situations with agitated clients without resorting to force or restraint

This activity is approved for 1.0 Continuing Education Credit. Albany Medical Center is an approved provider for Social Work Continuing Education.
