Through EHE funding, we build on our existing infrastructure by strengthening the capacity of the HIV workforce. We provide training and technical assistance for health care providers, teams and systems of care to increase HIV testing and linkage to care; increase the number of providers who can administer prevention strategies such as pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP); and increase the capacity of providers to deliver structurally and culturally competent care and treatment along the HIV care continuum to achieve sustained viral suppression (VS).
Our EHE work highlights best practices to inform and challenge service providers to work with consumers to mitigate health inequities and improve access to the services that support the EHE strategies.
We develop strategic webinars, panel discussions, tool kits and podcasts centered on a range of EHE topics such as:
Best practices and panel discussions centered on strategies to improve HIV testing rates
Integration of PrEP into primary care settings
Understanding the lived experience of using PrEP
Regimen simplification for patients taking antiretroviral (ART) medication
Clinical information on PrEP injectables
Homelessness & housing instability
…and much more!
In addition, our EHE program works closely with our BPHC PCHP funded Twinning Program to provide federally qualified health centers with guidance and troubleshooting in the areas of testing, prevention, PrEP implementation and community outreach. Learn more about how your FQHC can become a part of our twinning program.
