Pharmacy

Our Pharmacy Education Program is dedicated to providing up to date trainings based upon national guidelines that reflect the current standard of care for HIV treatment. We also provide print and on line versions of guides that can assist you in managing HIV infected clients.

What?


Our current guides address drug interactions associated with HIV medications and other primary care drugs including:

  • HIV/HCV Medications
  • Oral Contraceptives
  • Psychotropic Medications
  • Narcotic Analgesics
  • Treatments for Addiction and Recreational Drugs
  • HIV Medications for Pharmacists (includes basic dosing, side effect, and common drug interactions with currently approved medications used in HIV treatment)




Who?


We provide training to Pharmacists from all practice settings, including retail/community, hospital and long-term care.




Where?


We are able to provide face-to-face training for up to 2 days for Pharmacists interested in learning more about HIV treatment, adverse drug reaction management, and drug interaction prevention.




How?


We offer training in a variety of formats, including but not limited to:

  • HIV Continuing Education Program for Pharmacists
  • Webinars for your pharmacy group
  • Phone consultations related to HIV medications
  • In-person preceptorships
