Target Audience: 

Health care clinicians who provide patient care including physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, registered nurses and licensed practical nurses.


Learning Objectives:

  • Review current antiretroviral therapy guidelines.

  • Discuss current antiretroviral therapy strategies including investigational antiretroviral drugs.

  • Review the safety and efficacy of Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP).

  • Review the indications and contraindications for PrEP.

  • Through case discussions, understand how to apply clinical treatment guidelines to patient scenarios including co-morbid conditions.

  • Discuss strategies to minimize drug interactions based on case examples.
